After originating lot of confusion in relation to the car sales, the experiment partnership of EBAY and General Motors has come to an end. This particular experiment of Ebay( NASDAQ: EBAY) and General Motors was started on August 11th. After this confusion, the General Motors desire to go ahead and concentrate on only national incentive programs.
In brief of this confusion, the General Motors said that by the efforts of EBAY around 1.5 million web visitors visited along with 15,000 customers came forward to purchase cars but besides it, company was unable to say, how many number of cars were sold through the exact result of eBay link.
In reference of this selling confusion, the Vice president “Rob Chesney” of EBAY Motors said that whether the partnership with General Moors has come to end but it is not an indication that the future programs with other automakers will get any problem.
GM said the eBay program generated 1.5 million Web visits and more than 15,000 customer leads, although the company did not say how many cars were sold as a direct result of the eBay link.
Rob Chesney, vice president of eBay Motors an arm of the San Jose-based eBay said ending the GM program was not indicative of any problems and hinted that future programs might spring up with other automakers.
In reference of this confusion between EBAY and General Motors, Los Angeles Times displayed that report of EBAY auction of more than two weeks in which 13 sales recorded out of over 21,000 listings. As well as about the end of this partnership, the Wall St Journal said that often the online market doesn’t facilitate better for vehicle sales and usually in this sale partnership , the car buyers offered very low prices. About the sales of vehicles, the General Motors didn’t open how many sales brought in by this experiment and Chief Mark Laneve of GM said that it was not a Wright time for partnership but it has been seemed that GM intended to accept another eBay project in coming next year.
